The tears born in my eyes
They blur my vision 'til everything's beautiful
They've become my liquid friends
They fall to their doom which is so hard to watch
Somewhere there's an outside source
That causes each and every lethal splash
And all I can do is wait
Until these tears roll over a real smile
I would really love to avenge each of these little deaths
But I know that you aren't really the enemy here
So keep these friends coming cuz I can't let my eyes dry
And just let me now that you'll always be there
I try to save each drop
But they slip through my fingers or explode on my palm
I follow them with my eyes
They flow through these lines that are so well defined
Somehow there is beauty
In this waterfall of the last couple weeks
Winter's on its way
This river will freeze over, my love
I forgive you, my princess, for being so lovely
Will you forgive me for wanting you so bad?
How far do each of these ripples reach?
Cuz I can't see the end of this puddle of love
The tears born in my eyes (I try to save each drop)
They blur my vision 'til everything's beautiful (But they slip through my fingers or explode on my palm)
They've become my liquid friends (I follow them with my eyes)
They fall to their doom which is so hard to watch (They flow through these lines that are so well defined)
Somewhere there's an outside source (Somehow there is beauty)
That causes each and every lethal splash (In this waterfall of the last couple weeks)
And all I can do is wait (Winter's on it's way)
Until these tears roll over a real smile (This river will freeze over, my love)
Don't you worry your pretty little self about me
I've got all of that covered
