Aesthetic Hunger

Life's never been so colorful 'til you came into my life
One shade now stands in the forefront of my mind

Make me a picture sweetly with dabs of green paint
The brush is held holy in the hands of a saint
No shading, not abstract, just please keep it clear
Make me a painting that feels like you're here

Green, like all nature
So precious and calm
Hoping for a future
With your hand in my palm

Make me a picture boldly with sharpened green crayons
All I can think of is this weekend's plans
Within your art, please hide me a message
Make me a drawing to clean up this wreckage

Green, like in the rainbow
Nailed up in the sky
More than I could know
I can't even ask you why

Make me a picture softly with a new, wet green marker
You brought me sunshine when the darkness got darker
My chest feels so hollow, though I know that it's filled
Make me a masterpeice of the evil you've killed

Make me a picture, I'll write you a song
